The Dorset Media Centre (DMC) which opened today to coincide with the arrival of the Olympic Flame to Dorset provides a dedicated support to media and broadcast crew in Weymouth and Portland during the Torch Relay and sailing events at the Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Located in the heart of Weymouth at the Pavilion and next to Weymouth Beach Live Site, the DMC is open to both London 2012 accredited and non-accredited media following a registration process.

Reporters will have access to facilities including free IT connectivity and a media platform looking out across Weymouth Bay. As well as offering a working hub, the DMC also provides daily stories, content, video and images about Dorset, Weymouth & Portland through the Dorset Media Centre website www.dorsetforyou.com/sailing2012/mediacentre.

The DMC will be open from 8 am to 10pm on 12 to 13 July and then from 26 July to 12 August and 29 August to 9 September.
