London Media Centre opens to welcome world’s media

The London Media Centre (LMC), which was opened today by Mayor of London Boris Johnson, provides a dedicated support to media and broadcast crews during the Olympic and Paralympic Games. Reporters will have access to state-of-the-art facilities, including press conference facilities and free high-speed IT connectivity.

Located in the heart of Westminster at One Great George Street, next to Parliament Square and the Olympic Beach Volleyball venue at Horse Guards Parade, the LMC is open to both London 2012 accredited media and media registered with the LMC, with 600 specially organised events laid on to help 6,200 media representatives report back to audiences from every corner of the globe.

As well as offering a working hub, the LMC also provides  daily stories, content, video and images through the London Media Centre website.
