In the week running up to the Paralympic Games, four National Flames will travel from the highest peaks in the four home nations – England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. These four flames will then ultimately be united to create the London 2012 Paralympic Flame.
To celebrate the people and places on the route, we are mapping the journey online using Tripline.
You can see key highlights and photos of the Paralympic Torch Relay from around the UK and find out some of the amazing stories behind the people and places involved – as well as exploring some of the benefits that hosting the Games is bringing to communities across the country.
The relay ends on 29 August with the lighting of the cauldron during the Opening Ceremony in the Olympic Stadium.
