Finance
A key government role in the London 2012 programme is to ensure that the Games are delivered on time, on budget and for the benefit of the whole country.
In particular, the government manages the £9.3 billion public sector funding for the Games. The funding comes from a variety of sources including central government, London authorities and the National Lottery.
In the interests of transparency, it has produced Quarterly Reports and Annual Reports throughout the project, providing a full financial update on the progress for stakeholders and Parliament.
